Church Services Resume at 11 am on Sundays
Dear Church Family and Community,
We are glad to announce that our church services will resume again at 11 am on Sunday, June 14. Seating has been rearranged so that we can maintain the necessary physical distancing during the service.
For the duration of Phase 2, we will maintain all the safety guidelines and protocols as recommended by the Oregon Health Authority and the CDC. Also, during Phase 2, we will not have Sunday school for adults and children. We will reevaluate Sunday school and other children’s ministries later when we move into Phase 3.
Coffee House has reopened. For now, we will do the Coffee House outside under the trees when the weather allows. If it is raining or too cold we will make alternative arrangements to maintain physical distancing. There are chairs available but if you want to be more comfortable please bring your own camping/folding chair.
The MEN-tors, our men’s fellowship, will meet on the last Saturday of June, that is, June 27, at 7:30 am. After our usual breakfast and fellowship, we will continue with our Bible study on the Christian man.
Please follow announcements and updates on our South Umpqua Community Church Facebook page.
Please stay safe. Put your trust in the Lord. Rejoice in the Lord. Pray without ceasing. Do not give in to a spirit of fear but allow the Holy Spirit to cultivate in you a spirit of faith, love, hope, compassion, service, and a sound mind. Use this time to fellowship with God and to rest in his presence.
Please feel free to contact us with any needs either via e-mail, succtiller@gmail.com, or by phone, 541-825-3246, or 541-3995.
May the Lord keep you, protect you, and bless you.

Begins on Sunday, September 1, from 6-7 pm. Will happen every week on Sunday evenings from 6-7 pm for 8 weeks.
Digital Natives: Raising an Online Generation
In this technological age, how do we keep our kids safe on the Internet? How do we teach children to use the Internet responsibly? This current generation are digital natives. They view the altered reality the machines give us as normal. The Internet reality of Anything, Anytime, Anywhere, is a powerful reality. Combined with the prevalence of Internet pornography, it creates a generation who are severely addicted. This study will provide a greater understanding of the Internet—how it affects our children and impacts our daily lives. This 8-week study is for parents, teachers, youth leaders, or anyone who influences, mentors, and disciples the next generation.
New Small Group Study Begins!
SAFE — A New Group Study!
Begins on Wednesday, August 28, from 7-8 pm. Will happen every week on Wednesday evenings from 7-8 pm for 8 weeks.
Safe: Creating a Culture of Grace in a Climate of Shame
The Body of Christ is suffering, disconnected by our pain, isolation, and brokenness. Instead of avoiding the church and isolating our pain and brokenness, what if we could make the church a safe place where we chose to be with others who would point us toward God? In this 8-week study we discover how our church, small group, and home can become a safe place for broken people, even you. It covers practical steps to revive the Body of Christ—rejuvenate the lives of men and women, rebuild relationships, and restore families.
